Delicious Bookmarks Toolbar extension for firefox

Update: (19/7/09) now compatible with Firefox 3.5.*

A simple little add-on which styles the toolbar of the very handy Delicious Bookmarks Firefox add-on from Yahoo. Specifically this extension:

• Displays favicons for bookmarks in the Delicious Bookmarks toolbar (mac)
• Hides the labels of bookmarks in the Delicious Bookmarks toolbar
• Limits the maximum size of bookmarks in the Delicious Bookmarks toolbar to 16x16px

Under the covers this extension simply loads in a tiny set of CSS rules (effectively adding them to Firefox’s userChrome.css at runtime). If the Delicious Bookmarks Firefox add-on extension is not installed this extension will do nothing (it will fail gracefully).

To install the extension:

1. Download the “Delicious Bookmarks Toolbar” extension (right-click and choose “save link as”)
2. Drag the xpi file onto firefox
